What’s New for the 2025 Honda Pilot?
Over many years, the Honda Pilot has consistently impressed drivers and passengers alike with its all-around appealing design, features, and functionality. This three-row, midsize SUV launched its fourth generation in 2023, so it continues to have a bold, modern look and exciting features for the 2025 model year. There are also a few updates to explore.
The 2025 Honda Pilot loses its base LX trim level. This leaves the Sport as the new entry-level trim. The top-level trim for the 2024 Pilot was the Elite. For 2025, the Black Edition is the most advanced trim level available. Altogether, the trim lineup features the Sport, the EX-L, the Touring, the TrailSport, the Elite, and the Black Edition. The Black Edition comes with perforated leather seats, red trim, and dark trim across the interior and exterior.
The 2025 Honda Pilot retains its 3.5-liter V6 engine from the preceding model year for all trims. This is a 285-horsepower unit that pairs with a 10-speed auto transmission. This model is easy to maneuver in small spaces with a tight turning circle. The TrailSport trim has off-road functionality, an advanced suspension system, and enhanced axle articulation. In addition, the suspension is lifted an inch taller than the other trim levels. The 2025 Pilot can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
The 2025 Honda Pilot has the same design as its predecessor. It shows off the tall roofline and raked side windows introduced in the 2023 model year. The grille is subtly hexagonal, displaying a wide, staggered pattern across the mesh. The long, slender headlights branch off the grille almost horizontally, boasting a lower LED ribbon.
Inside, the Honda Pilot offers seating for seven to eight passengers, depending on how it is configured. Across the three rows, it has 14 cup holders. The Sport trim level features a pair of 7-inch display screens in the center stack. The size increases to nine inches for the other trim levels. Some of the Pilot’s many features are traffic jam assist, wireless smartphone app connections, heated seats, a push-button ignition, a multi-zone auto climate control system, a moonroof, wireless phone charging, removal captain’s chairs, wireless phone charging, removable storage, auto locking, and more.
